The girls had a blast sledding, shoveling, getting buried in snow piles, playing with Baylie (who also enjoyed the girls). Riley kept getting lost in the snow because he was so short and had to leap to go anywhere!
We spent Christmas with family. I'm not sure how great all the pictures are...because guess what? I didn't have the camera! Brooke had it for most of the time. Raelyn had it other times. I remember taking it away from them at one point, and then once they got it back, we didn't see it again until Aunt April mailed it to us in Georgia :) Here are some of Brooke's and Raelyn's snapshots from Christmas day (get comfortable...there are a lot!):

Uncle Nick thought it would be fun to ask the girls if they wanted to go to Chuck-E-Cheese, and then told me to take them. Yeah...that's not how it works Nick! After teasing them over and over and over, well, in order to maintain cool uncle status, guess who took the girls to Chuck-E-Cheese?? He told them he could only stay for 30 minutes.... (again, that's not quite how it works...). I think they were there for...at least 2 hours???
Well, fast forward a few days, and off we went AGAIN, with the car even more loaded up than before! This time it was going to be a quick trip down to North Carolina where my mom lives, to spend New Years Eve with her. But before we left, we had to get this picture of Raelyn playing in Kitty's crate. Yup! That's right, I said KITTY's...not the dogs!!!
Off to NC... Along the way, we stopped to see one of Dan's best friends in Pennsylvania whom he hadn't seen for a very long time. They knew each other growing up, and were also roommates at Fort Drum, NY. We stayed a night there, getting in quite late. Guess what??? I didn't take any pictures because our camera was in NH somewhere, and I was too tired to think about grabbing my phone to snap some memories.
We left the next afternoon for NC, and arrived at my mom's--also very late. We got a midnight tour of her house, got the girls all excited and riled up, and then sent them to bed...after they were done bouncing on Grammie's bed and running around. I think it was about 3am before we all crashed!
New Year's Eve...you'll never believe what happened. Dan and I got to have a DATE!!!! But you know what else? Those pictures were also deleted off of Dan's phone. I do have to say that we looked pretty cute :) AND, we went home with a puppy that night!! We were at the local Country Club, and a little black lab puppy showed up outside and no one knew who it belonged to. We brought it home and then were able to locate the owners the next day. Which is a good thing...because although it was to-die-for-CUTE, it was also very much a puppy, chewed, peed, and...was just too much for me to have to deal with. Although if the owner hadn't been located, I would have gladly given it a home :)
Well, I did get a few pictures of the girls while in NC, because I confiscated mom's camera and we took a trip to the park :) These are just a few of my favorites:
We stayed at my mom's for about a week, and then we were off to Georgia. Finally, right?? Well, I'm going to leave you hanging again, because there's A LOT to blog about already in GA. We'll pick up the weekend of the ice storms next time... :-)
